Hello, everyone!
I just found out-- I'm going to Kenya! Officially! I applied for the Fr. Smith Fellowship through Providence College, and was lucky enough to be one of the five recipients. I am going to be staying in Kisumu, Kenya for six weeks this summer working with Kenyan kids.
I am BEYOND excited about this, but a little nervous as well! I know it's an incredible opportunity, but the thought of being a 30 hour plane ride from home for six weeks is a little daunting. I can't wait to have everything finalized, and to get there!
I'll keep writing in this blog as the process continues, and hopefully I'll be able to keep it updated while I'm there!
